Travel with Gared, from a severely compromised future, to discover whether secrets of the past can save his civilization. When all seems lost, a young trio from the future appear with assistance and a talisman of great power.

~ Part I of a Trilogy ~

Gared is chosen to travel back in time to bring secrets of the ancients to our ‘now’, to save his future currently being destroyed by disturbed weather patterns and the tyranny of a shadow government.

Year 2078 - Gared is an officer of the current military regime, a product of the Great Transition, sustaining the image of an ‘ideal’ society, where devastation from deteriorating weather patterns and solar magnetic storms are managed by Shields, and the majority live suppressed, unnatural lives controlled by the Forgetting, a result of psycho-terrorism.

Gared’s recurring dreams of his mother’s death and other historical events, cause the government to select him as a best candidate to make a risky journey; to return through time following his memory pattern to recover lost ‘secrets of the ancients’. These secrets must be instilled into our ‘now’ in order to prevent nuclear and biological disaster and electronic abuse, which caused the deteriorating foundation of his civilization.

Preparing for his high-risk journey, he meets Justine, a marine biologist and dolphin communicator who is exploring inter-dimensional travel with dolphins. A passionate relationship evolves between the two, and she later comes to his rescue with the dolphins, when the seductive powers of the government have stripped away his time travel technology.

He is introduced to a rebel colony, a ragged band, called the Awaakened Ones, living in harmony with the Earth and her changes in the Wild Lands outside the Shields. Gared begins a journey of Remembering, and meets a gifted shaman, who becomes his guide, and several others who he shall meet again.

His journey to the past takes him to the land of the Incas and the Ancient Puebloans, to recover secrets of the Great Solar Disk. The evil government of the future uses him as an unsuspecting pawn to claim this power as their own. Gared would be unable to complete his mission if it weren’t for a radical young trio from the future, Mora, Shadow and Spike, who bring him a talisman of great power and assistance when all seems lost.

Will Gared succeed at infusing the secret of the Great Solar Disk into a doomed culture? Will he find his way home? And if so, to what kind of future? What will come of the child Justine carries, who calls herself ‘Mora’?
